Our Commitment

We strive to ensure that every bird offered by Texas Pet Birds receives proper care and attention prior to placement.

Before a bird leaves our care, we make reasonable efforts to ensure that it appears healthy and suitable for placement at the time of sale.

Because birds are living animals and their health can be influenced by transportation, environmental changes, stress, diet, and owner care, no seller can guarantee lifelong health.

Initial Health Guarantee

Texas Pet Birds guarantees that your bird is alive and appears to be in good health at the time of delivery or pickup.

Customers are strongly encouraged to have their bird examined by a licensed avian veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery or pickup.

An early veterinary examination helps establish the bird’s health condition and allows any concerns to be addressed promptly.

Veterinary Examination Requirement

To qualify for any potential health-related claim:

The bird must be examined by a licensed avian veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery or pickup.
Customers must retain all veterinary records and documentation.
Written veterinary findings must be provided upon request.
Failure to obtain a veterinary examination within the required timeframe may void this Health Guarantee.

Conditions Not Covered

This Health Guarantee does not cover:

Stress-related conditions resulting from shipping or relocation.
Injuries occurring after delivery.
Improper diet or nutrition.
Improper housing or cage conditions.
Exposure to other animals or birds.
Environmental hazards.
Accidents after delivery.
Parasites or illnesses acquired after delivery.
Behavioral issues.
Feather plucking.
Excessive vocalization.
Failure to talk or mimic speech.
Breeding performance.
Personality traits or temperament.

Bird behavior and development vary greatly among individual birds and cannot be guaranteed.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

Providing appropriate housing.
Providing proper nutrition and clean water.
Maintaining a safe environment.
Scheduling veterinary care as needed.
Following recommended bird care practices.
Monitoring the bird’s health and behavior.

Failure to provide proper care may void any health-related guarantees.

All claims must be submitted promptly after discovery of the issue.

Limitation of Liability

Texas Pet Birds’ responsibility under this Health Guarantee is limited to the original purchase price of the bird.

Texas Pet Birds shall not be responsible for:

Veterinary expenses
Diagnostic testing costs
Medications
Transportation costs
Boarding expenses
Emotional distress
Incidental damages
Consequential damages

To the fullest extent permitted by law, any remedy provided under this policy shall be the customer’s sole and exclusive remedy.

No Lifetime Guarantee

Texas Pet Birds does not provide a lifetime health guarantee.

Birds are living animals whose future health depends on numerous factors beyond our control, including environment, nutrition, veterinary care, genetics, and owner management.
